Finding the Best Cell Phone Plans For Your Family

Every mobile provider will tell you they have the right plan for you, but finding the best cell phone plans is dependent on your individual needs. You have to determine what you are looking for first and then look for the providers that have those services. After that, you will want to compare prices to see who has them at the best cost.
If you are looking at mobile plans for several members of your family, you will want to look at family plans with the different providers to find the best cell phone plans. You will want to consider monthly cost, cost of phones, and limits that you can place on phones for any children in your family.
Every provider has a family plan. Some have unlimited minutes, unlimited messaging, and other perks. There are basic plans and then more advanced choices if you plan to buy a smartphone. Most of them charge average prices for additional lines. The differences lie in the add-ons.
AT&T has a family plan that includes Smart Limits for Wireless Parental Controls. This allows the parents to choose how and when their children can use their cell phone. They can limit the number of text messages sent per cycle. They can even limit who their kids can call and receive calls from. This allows them a way to protect their children while allowing them to hav their own phones.
Sprint has a family talk plan that allows you to talk to up to 10 people for free even if they don’t have the same carrier. This can be a benefit for you or your children if you have a few people you call regularly.
With T-Mobile’s family plan, you can limit text messaging for your kids. Since more kids text than talk on the phone, this can save you money and protect your children. You can also limit downloads and who they can talk to on the phone. They call it Managing Family Allowances.
A lot of times you can’t find the information with the plans. You can put in a search term like “limiting messages” or “parent controls” to find the information you need. Only AT&T lists their product with the plans, but it’s an additional cost. Many of the others are included in the family plan.
Most providers have email and the best cell phone plans even have customer service people online that you can chat with to get answers to your questions. This will allow you to make sure they provide the kind of controls you want to see while still allowing your kids to have their own cell phones.
